This is a very important topic, not only for us as a responsible company, but also for the environment and for you as a potential customer. In the following, we want to showcase our most important measures for a more sustainable self-storage service and why you made the right decision to book a unit with us.

This is what sustainability means to us

Sustainability is an issue that is becoming increasingly important. But what does it mean to us? We take sustainability very seriously and it all starts with the most essential component of our service: the storage unit. They can be used for 20 years or more, are moveable, and therefore re-usable. 

A sustainable Storage Park 

All our new Storage Park’s booking processes are paperless. This is an important measure in a time when our resources must be urgently protected. You can move into your new storage unit anytime without unnecessary bureaucracy and excessive paperwork. Once you’ve moved in, you can access your storage unit day and night on 365 days a year. Our premises are well-lit and open to our customers at all times. 

Energy-efficient LED lights on the entire Storage Park premises

 A well-lit premises is important for you to find your way to your unit. To do so and still stay sustainable, we use LEDs. Why are they good for sustainability? What’s special about LEDs is their excellent use of energy. Most of the invested electricity is used to create light, not heat like many other light sources, which is exactly what we want from our lighting systems.  Energy-efficient LEDs create brightness exactly where it is needed.

LEDs with motion sensors 

There’s more: Our lights are connected to motion sensors and so the light is only turned on when needed. Of the little electricity used by the light-emitting diodes, we use only the amount necessary. Our lighting is a shining example of sustainability!

Gravel for natural drainage

Lastly, we also made the water and drainage system of our Storage Park sustainable. It’s based on natural drainage using gravel for infiltration. This enables the water to flow off without having to install a sophisticated drainage system.
